ABOUT US

the re:center

The RE:center was established in 2012 by theCHURCH with a vision to seek the welfare of the local community beyond a Sunday morning service and address the untreated trauma plaguing our community. It began with a receptionist engaging in client resource education and navigation for those who walked through the office doors and an invite to participate in local drug court to help participants maintain sobriety and complete court requirements. Through miraculous financial giving, theCHURCH was able to purchase a more prominent location to expand the RE: center's work. In 2019, the RE:center was established as a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; we opened the doors wholly financially funded by theCHURCH.

REcenter About Page.png

Together, we work to stop the cycle of generational trauma and poverty in our community's individuals and families. Every individual deserves the opportunity to be empowered to succeed in our schools, businesses, family homes, community functions, and churches. To end community and individual trauma, the RE:center uses community collaborative and data-driven processes and programs to reduce Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and support adults. Today, theCHURCH continues to be a vital partner in our work. Our mission is now made possible through the expanded support of our community partners. Together, we believe in ten vital services that are crucial for survival and thriving, and have been shown to increase families' health, safety, and self-sufficiency. The RE:center is committed to connecting families to these services through our programs, community partners, and the Survive-to-Thrive Initiative. If a service is not available, the RE:center is dedicated to developing new programs or bringing in established agencies to fill the gaps.We are a community resource center for the White Mountains of Arizona.
